Why vehicle type changes the work
Most detailing menus price by size alone — small, medium, large. That's a rough approximation of the real variables. Panel area matters, but so does how a vehicle is used, what its interior is made of, how soft its paint is, and where it parks between trips.
A three-row SUV carrying kids home from Crandon Park collects sand in places a sedan doesn't have. A lifted truck needs step access and more time on the upper surfaces. Softer paint on many luxury cars and EVs marrs easily, so wash and polish technique has to be more conservative. And a company van judged by customers on arrival is really an appearance problem on a schedule, which is a different job from a weekend enthusiast car.
