Ceramic Coating

Ceramic Coating in Miami

A durable, slick layer over properly prepared paint. It makes upkeep easier on a car that lives in the sun — and we'll be straight with you about what it can't do.

The practical case in Miami

Coatings get discussed mostly in terms of gloss, but the real value here is maintenance. A car parked outdoors in Miami-Dade picks up bug residue on the front end, film from wet roads, mineral spotting when rain dries in the sun, and airborne salt if it lives anywhere near the water. On uncoated paint, removing all that means more chemistry, more contact and more scrubbing — which is exactly how swirl marks accumulate.

On a coated panel, contamination has less to hold onto. Washing takes less effort, water sheets off instead of sitting in droplets that bake into spots, and the added UV resistance works in favour of a finish that sees strong sun most of the year.

What a coating is not

  • Not scratch protection. It resists light marring, not impacts or careless washing.
  • Not a replacement for washing. It changes how easy washing is, not whether you do it.
  • Not a fix for damaged paint. It seals in the condition underneath, good or bad.
  • Not permanent. Longevity depends on the product, the prep, and how the car is used.

We don't quote specific year counts or protection percentages. What you'll get is a realistic explanation of the product being used on your vehicle and how to maintain it.

Preparation is most of the job

Decontamination

The paint is washed and decontaminated so nothing is trapped beneath the coating. Bonded film and residue have to come off first.

Correction

Because the coating locks in the current finish, paint correction is usually part of the process. How much depends on the paint — a two-year-old garage-kept car needs far less than a decade-old daily driver that's been through automatic washes.

Panel prep and application

Surfaces are wiped down to remove polishing oils, then the coating is applied and levelled panel by panel and allowed to cure without being disturbed. That last part is why the parking situation matters and gets planned in advance.

Aftercare

Coated vehicles still need regular washing, ideally by hand or with touchless methods rather than drive-through brushes. Getting salt and bug residue off promptly keeps the surface performing the way it should. If you'd rather not handle upkeep yourself, maintenance exterior detailing visits are an option.

Coatings are popular with owners parking uncovered near the water in Miami Beach and with Brickell residents whose cars sit in garages during the week but see full sun on weekends.
